An FAQs Update
Howdy!
I've been asked a lot of the same questions regarding a variety of things, so I thought I'd use this post to address them.
Q: When will the new novel be released?
A: I can confidently say that it will be before Christmas. When I have a firm release date, I'll post an update.
Q: What other books do you plan to write?
A: There will be one final novel that will put a bow on the series. I also have another full story called "Tex Murphy and the Vintage Case" that I plan to write as an "Interactive Adventure" (in the same style as "Tex Murphy and the Steakhouse Stakeout").
Q: For people who haven't read any of the books, what order should they read them in?
A: The upcoming novel will be the new "first" book in the series, taking place two years before "Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon", so it's the ideal starting point. After that, the chronological sequence is Under a Killing Moon, Pandora Directive, Romanov Enigma, Steakhouse Stakeout, Tesla Effect, Poisoned Pawn.
Q: Once upon a time, there were plans to write a trilogy of stories - "Chance", "Polarity" and "Trance" - that would follow the Pandora Directive. What happened with that?
A: The "Chance" story and some of the "Polarity" story were the basis for the "Romanov Enigma" novel. The rest of the "Polarity" story and all of "Trance" will be in the final novel (which, by the way, will be called "Tex Murphy and the Armageddon Blend").
Q: Is there an audiobook version of "Tex Murphy and the Steakhouse Stakeout"?
A: No. With its Interactive Adventure format, there's no way to navigate the narrative choices without an interface. It is, however, available as an ebook (which makes navigating VERY easy, by the way).
Q: Who narrates your audiobooks?
A: I know a lot of long-time Tex fans would have loved to hear Chris Jones read them, but he was just too darn expensive, so I did it myself. If you'd like to hear a sample, email me and I'll send you a clip.

It's June 2043 and almost two months have gone by since Tex Murphy, P.I. wrapped up his last job. The search for Thomas Malloy and the Pandora Device had nearly gotten him killed. Now he's dying of boredom.

During the Malloy case, following a poorly-executed first date, Tex's dream girl, Chelsee Bando, left town to get some space, think things over, and decide what she wanted to do with her life. Or something like that. When she returned, Chelsee had decided to move on...and into the virtual arms of a Cary Grant hologram.
